TED Talks The Hague on Friday July 17, 2009

Our July theme is Food for Thought. With obesity rates rising in the Western world, we pretty much take our food for granted. Our supermarkets are filled with frozen entrées, imported meats and gleaming rows of vegetables all through the year. But not so long ago, getting food on our plate was a full time job. And for a lot of people it still is.

Can we feed 9 billion people without destroying our planet and ourselves? The July videos show how our eating habits influence our health, culture and environment. The teaser keywords are:
